Post by student of june 8,2008 is incorrect in that Springfield does offer college duel enrollment classes and honors classes. Several free tutorial classes are offered for those that need more assistance and for those student wishing to improve ACT scores. Very supportive staff. Very good and varied extra and co-curricular classes. Few major discipline issues.
I attended Springfield high for my fresman year. it is an ok school they do not offer AP course or any kind of higher educaton courses which are needed to get into a good college. The teachers have a relaxed attitude and there is more dealing with promblimatic students there is teaching going on in the class room. It is a very distarcting environment. I thought that beign a c avarage student coming from my previous school that i would strugle with my classes in high school but instead i am an all A's student and i was number 1 in my class. I rarely ever studied and might of had homework one night a week. But for and underacheving student springfield is great but i am moving school next year and will be attending St. Thomas .
Much is to be said about this school. Firstly, great discipline is involved within this school. Teachings are great with much involvment from the instructors. Since my graduation in 2004 I've applied alot I've learned from this school towards my career in the military. Much thanks to all the teachers who inspired me and hopefully they can inspire your children in the same way.
I go to SHS, and I am very happy to be part of such a very perfect school. I am always happy to leave in the morning and I am very bored when I get home, thanks to the extra time in class to do our homework where we can ask questions without having to wait. When looked at it in a wide view of every school, this school has to be reconized as a very high curricular school. All of my friends love our school, I can't wait to be able to send my kids to this school!
