Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

My school is an amazing school with wonderful people and i wouldn't ask anyone to put me into a different school because of the teachers and staff and how they actually care about the students and want them to succeed and I find that to be the best thing that you could ask. St Amant High is a school that I would highly recommend going to.

As we were moving to La. due to work we chose this city and school because of the wonderful reviews. What a mistake! The great reviews are done by people that obviously haven't been out of this town so have no idea what a great school really is. Although white, it s deeply offensive to witness open racism toward African Americans daily or hear girls that have short hair called "lesbian". In GREAT schools the teachers would stop such hurtful behavior. Or at least listen when someone complains about it! Also, my child/children were well liked at other schools. Be prepared to be given the silent treatment, or verbally bullied if you aren't from this place or don t look like everyone else. At "great" schools they strive to act welcoming towards new students. Here the principle and all but one councilor are cold, hard, and behave as if they too are students. Never mind trying to work with them. They act closed minded, spiteful, and standoffish. I feel for those stuck here that are of a diff race or dress. Though we have seen& heard that if the "black people" act white or good at sports then they too are respected. Unbelievable! There are a few great teachers. Yet many unprofessional.

At this school, all they care about is sports!!! If your child is not in football, cheer leading, dance etc, they could care less about your child. They have teachers that are very unprofessional and nothing is done about it. I would not recommend this school for any one!!!

This will be my daughter's freshman year at St. Amant High. From experiences with my son, the staff was kind and compassionate. The kids are tough, I am nervous about my daughter starting here.

I am a student at St. Amant. Education wise this is a great school. There is plenty of supervision and lots of guidelines and is an overall nice place. If your child is into sports then this will be heaven. Now if your child is a gothic type brace yourself you're in for a ride.
