I wish I could say that I loved our experience at Christ the King, but that would be a lie. I also think most of these great reviews are posted by the teachers who work their & their kids attend for free. They are given extra attention & lacked rules. The principal will not reprimand any teacher for any reason. I pray things get better at this school because the children suffer.

My children and grandchildren went there and received a quality education.

My son is in the 1st grade and we love the education he is receiving at Christ the King school. The curriculum pushes the students to excel at an early age and the environment is a loving one. I am impressed by all that he is learning and I appreciate the pride the teachers and staff take in their relationships with the students. It was always important to me that he attend Christ the King school and I am very happy with the decision we've made.

My daughter has been at Christ the King ofr 10 years. This has been the BEST LOVING enviorment for our entire family. I would change a thing about my experience. We are going to miss EVERYONE with her moving on to High School next year.

Reading some reviews, I don't believe they are talking about the Christ the King my child goes to. We are not a CTK family and have no connections to the school. My child has excelled while at this school, and especially since the new Princinpal arrived. When bullying occured against my child, CR handled it immediately and professionally. Most grumblings at the school are caused by parents who want all the attention only for themselves or their child. It's not attractive. This is a Great school!

Both of my children go to CTK. The school has grown so much over the years. The majority of the teachers are wonderful and truly care about the children. The school allows for the kids to be themselves and encourages them to excel in so many ways...Beta Club, Quiz Bowl, Academic Games, sports teams. I would highly recommend this small gem of the Westbank to anyone. There is something different and special about this school. The children love going to school everyday. A real family environment.

Last year we were so energized by our new administration, this year we are dumb founded by her inability to be an effective administrator. Many excellent teachers have left or will be leaving because they do not believe in our new principle. There is no accountability for teachers who do the wrong thing. Do not bother complaining, your calls and e-mails will be ignored by staff, and the principle does not follow up or through with her promises to handle situations. We do not intend on staying any longer than we have to, one more year and we can be done with CTK.

I attended Christ the King as a child and would not recommend this school to anyone. I had a little trouble with my academics and when I needed a little 'extra' push or a little 'extra' help with my schoolwork, not one of my teachers were willing to help me.

I am a single parent bringing my children in from way outside the 'parish.' I have made myself available in every way possible, even though I work a 9 to 5 job. I have made friends from my work as a volunteer and have never been made to feel like an outsider. On my few visits to the school during the day, cr is never in her office, preferring to visit the classrooms. Make yourself available, get to know everyone and maybe you won't feel like an outsider. BTW, give these people a chance, they evacuated also and are trying to restore some normalcy to an otherwise chaotic beginning of the year. BTW concerns, go see cr.

CTK is a great school, if you're part of the core group of parishoners. Many teachers are parents or former students. Unconnected families are treated differently. Calls usually aren't returned and if they are, expect a lecture about your failings as a parent. My child brought home a religion test with a basic fact that was erroneously marked wrong. The teacher directed me to the web site from which she downloaded the test. There is no accountability for teachers. To whom do you complain when your Catholic school has failed you? Rome?

My husband went to ctk when they first opened, and we sent our children, and now my grandchildren. There is no other school i would send my children and grandchildren to. Keep up the great standards of teaching, and caring for the students.

My child has been at Christ the King for the last 3 years and loves it. While it is a safe, loving and nurturing environment, I feel that it does not hold up educationally. It is adequate for normal students but for those that excel, I find it not challenging. I often wonder if I am sacrificing educational prosperity for a Catholic education. Public schools seem to be far exceeding CTK's educational level. I hope that in the future we could see a GT program at CTK.

My child has been a student here since kindergarden and is graduating this year. We have never had a single problem and could not have been happier. Thank you CTK for 9 great years!

I went to Christ the King from pre-k up until 8th grade. I loved it, and I am now in my sophomore year of college. I can honestly say the school was really great. The teachers were always involved and willing to help, parents are informed when their child is having difficulties or other problems. I will send my children to CTK when they become of age. (When I have children!) Overall, this is a great and safe school, you will not regret sending your child here.

After transferring to this school mid year - I am more than pleased. It is a family atmosphere - everyone really cares about the kids - which is what it is all about!

I graduated CTK in 1983 and currently have 2 children attending CTK. Although, the last few years were a bit rough with the administration, we have overcome our problems as we have gained a NEW Administration. When you see the office staff and teachers smile, it makes you smile. Something we missed for awhile. We are back and our enrollment is increasing by the day! If you want an environment to teach your kids the good values of the life of a christian, you need to be here. The staff is very much like family and willing to go out of their way to assist and participate any way they can. Glod Bless Ms. Ruel! MS. Swear! and CTK Staff! It's been a long, hard journey, but you have vowed to not give up and it shows in the changes we have experienced just in this last school year.

I am a former alumni and a parent. I feel that the environment that CTK provides is a very caring and loving one. Mrs. Ruel is doing a wonderful job. She is very visible at the school. The second grade teachers are awesome!

I would highly recommend Christ the King School to any parent wanting a challenging curriculum set in a loving atmosphere for their children to learn and grow. We have been blessed this year with the addition of a remarkable principle Mrs. Cindy Ruel. Thank you teachers and staff for all that you do.

My brothers and I all are alumnae of CTK. All three of us are successful, contributing citizens. My daughter graduated from CTK, and is now in college on the dean's list. I believe that the christian values, high academic structures, supportive staff, volunteer parents, and parish community at CTK contribute to upbringing of the positive, upbeat, smart and savvy students that leave and make great people in the world. Many valedictorians of high schools attended CTK.

I have two children at CTK. My experience at the school has been wonderful. The teachers are very professional and make learning fun for the children. Our school went through a rough year last year, but with the new leadership we are making a great comeback. It is a joy for the kids to want to go to school everyday. You can tell tht the staff wants to be at the school also. It is a great enviroment for kids, teachers and parents.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
