Walker Elementary School

Walker Elementary is on the right track! A parent is not going to always 'love' the teacher their child receives because of personality differences, but most of the teachers at this school are fantastic! I think the technology and facility updates are because of the administration and the teachers. They love that school and the children no matter what their circumstances! This school is often forgotten by the district, but look at the improvements they have made! They find their way even without all the perks! In my mind, this is what educating children is all about.

The new administration is making positive changes at Walker Elementary. The teaching staff is awesome! Take a look at their test scores! The teachers are doing a wonderful job of teaching these students!

Do not judge Walker Elementary by the past. So many things have changed. Most of the teachers and the new principal are awesome. They really care about all of their students. Great school!

Walker Elementary is definitely 'moving up!' Their 2008-2009 test scores were outstanding, the teachers, as always are dedicated and kind, and the school board is finally making needed improvments on campus. Check it out for yourself!

This school has a number of new things going on in the positive direction. For starters, there is a new PE program as of 07-08, and the administration has changed. Don't judge it by the past.

My daughter is going into her third year at Walker Elementary. I am not impressed with this school. The teachers are good.... when they're there. And the subs haven't done anything with the kids. P.E. program is horrible. This school needs a LOT of improvement. Sorry.

After observing a teacher at Iberville Elem yelling at her students and making threats I couldnt handle my son being in that school any longer. I could see why his grades were suffering. We actually moved to Walker so he could attend WES. The changes have been dramatic. I dont have to fight my son to get up for school. He enjoys going and always has good things to say when I pick him up. His grades have improved from barely passing to A's and B's. WES provides at school clubs to get the kids involved, which my son loves. He doesnt fight about homework anymore. He isnt always frustrated when you mention school. The staff has been wonderful to us. Its just a great school. I couldnt be happier that my son is attending. Thanks Mrs. Sibley for being a gift to Stefen!

My son attended this school for 2 years after leaving Levi Milton. In 4th grade he had a great teacher, but in 5 grade we were only pleased with one of his 4 teachers. We receive graded papers each week and many weeks we only received 3 or 4 papers out of 4 classes. Which made me wonder what went on all week. I think the school is ok but the work load should be increased.

Me as a parent I never liked that school. The education was great but the principal Mr. Hayman just doesn't care and the teachers don't care either. Don't send your child to that school it is a bad school if you do you will find out as soon as you send your child there.
