I am a junior at north central high schoool (class of 2011) and i feel that people should stop dissing my school. I am tired of it,they are only dissing us because they have never walked these halls. Even though we are a poor school academically you should never judge a book by its' cover, so all of you dissers fimd another school please!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a small school with small classes that can provide for rich educational experiences. There are a few good and talented teachers, but there are too many who are either not gifted educators or for whom 'teaching' is simply a means to a paycheck. And, with an administration that does not stand behind their teachers, it's not likely that good teachers would ever want to teach there. Athletics (no matter how poor) always trump academics. Students are not held accountable. There are consistent interruptions and distractions. Students at NCHS are not being held to a high standard, and it's no wonder that school performance scores are the lowest of all the parish high schools. Most of the students and teachers are wonderful, but the school leadership does little to move the school forward--they seem content to be underperforming.

I attend north central and i think it is a very good school. Many people talk about north central like is a dump where parents send there kids because they dont care. I'm here to say that is not true! this school is very caring people dont come and see what our school is all about they just talk about what they here people say! it dont make sence! dont get me wrong some of the staff dont care but that is only because the students dont care! others say that its a prodomint black school so they dont want to send there children there but that means nothing everyone is like family here! some kids get picked on here but thats only because they do things to deserve that! north central high school is a good school! you are welcome to visit anytime and find out for yourself!

I think North Central is a good school. Many people down this school because of the way it was before. Now North Central has changed in many ways and has improved greatly.

This school is underperforming. There is no discipline, little administrative action is ever taken to help teachers, and the faculty turn over each year is greater than 50%. Students are often underserved by a librarian who is not able to do her job and a school system that does not monitor the school.

This is a very poor school. I would not recommend sending your child here. The music program is not very well developed. Some of the teachers don't even bother teaching, they just give out assignments and never bother to even answer questions that the students have.
