My children graduated from the M.L.Day school before it was part of the RSU. The education they received was excellent. They succeeded in high school and in college because of the foundation they received. The staff is of the highest quality, providing a safe, creative learning environment

I am very pleased with the education my children are receiving at Mildred L Day school. They are receiving the extra challenges they need through the gifted and talented programs, there are new smart boards in almost every classroom, the library has been redone with updates in not only the room itself but the books, computers and audio books have all been updated and added to extensively. The principal and entire staff truly care about what is best for their students and go above and beyond to provide a fun learning environment for our children.

Mildred L Day School - Where Everybody Knows Your Name Mildred L Day School reflects the positive characteristics of the small town it is set in, while benefiting from being part of the award winning RSU-21 school district. Being nestled in the small coastal town of Arundel (population of only 4,000), the school not only acts as a place where our children receive a quality education but also is the center of the social fabric which makes up the town. Entering the school you will find that everyone of the exceptional staff will greet your child by name. The larger educational priorities are set by the school district. Being part of a larger school district, which is made up of nearby adjacent towns, the children are provided with a wealth of opportunities for all levels. Unlike many other school districts, RSU-21 constantly strives to provide a top shelf education while staying in tune with the state of the economy and the needs of the tax payer. The members of the ML-Day staff are held to the highest of today's academic standards; each not only accepts this challenge but strives to exceed it. All this while taking the time to know you and your child's name.

Great things are happening at Mildred L Day School. The school has such a caring and dedicated staff. I love that the Principal takes the time to write a personal note on the children's report cards. I love that the staff knows my children by name. I love the mix of new technology that the students are being exposed to with Smart boards in the classrooms. I also like that children are being taught cursive. This school has a strong and caring staff who dedicates a lot to the student body and the community. Test scores have come up and students are engaged. I would also like to say that if you haven't stopped in to see all the art work that is displayed that the students have created, do so it is amazing. There are a lot of great things happening at this school and I am so glad that my family is part of it.

I couldn't agree more with the other positive reviews posted about Mildred L Day School. My son is in kindergarten, and the transition from pre-school has been seamless. The faculty and staff seem to genuinely care about the well being of the children, and there seems to be a great collabtoration between families and the school.

Since Mildred L Day has become part of RSU 21 improvements have been significant! The RSU and recognition by the Education Foundation of the Kennebunks and Arundel have provided additional funding to improve technology, foreign language and library resources at the school. The new principal, Dr. Crowley, has made a positive impact on the entire school atmosphere.
