This school is lacking many friendly people, starting with most of the teachers. My children have attended for four years. The first year was great but after hiring a new principal, Mr. Babcock, every year has been a struggle. Most teachers are snarky and rude to students and when dealing with parents seem to forget who the parent is. There is an ongoing battle between younger teachers and old school teachers. They are definitely the rudest team of educators I have encountered in one school....with the exception of the office staff, art teacher, guidance counselor, and Mrs. Smith (3rd grade). This year has been by far the worst. Their new curriculum was not well integrated at all and my child's 1st grade class was being forced to stay in for recesses to do math. If you want to send your child somewhere to be taught kindness and compassion by example, this is not the place!

My 6 yr old granddaughter attends Fruit Street School in Bangor, Maine. I think it is a wonderful school with caring and creative teachers. An outstanding school!
