I already liked BEMS when I lived in Maine, but now that I have moved out-of-state, I *really* know what I'm missing! I have yet to find a school in MA or RI that has such a positive atmosphere, and the administration really has their ducks in a row--a rare thing these days! BEMS, I miss you!!!

This school is a really good school for transitions. The students and staff make students feel welcome every day.

I highly disagree with one of these reviews. Bonny Eagle is a perfectly fine high school. Of course the school has teasing and bullying. Granted, teasing and bullying are bad things to have in a school, but I would like to see a school where kids don't say these kinds of things to each-other. I just don't appreciate the fact that Bonny Eagle is being singled out. Regarding the teachers, they know how to connect to students as they are teaching them, holding their attention, and offering more than the traditional lecture-style method. Also, unlike other high schools, there is a fine advanced placement program (also offered in the middle school) that provides better opportunities to those who excel at school, instead of just helping those who do not. This program helps kids greatly in preparation for their future. Overall, I believe that Bonny Eagle is a satisfactory choice for

Bonny Eagle wasn't the kind of school I had in mind for my children. There is lots of teasing, bullying, etc with kids calling each other 'Speds' , 'retards' and many more rude remarks. The principals were very kind and understanding but the teachers are another story. They don't have a very good teaching method and tend to tease the students a bit. The extra-curricular activities, however, are average. I would not reccomend this school to another person
