I have to agree , Dexter has been one of the most dissapointing school's I have ever attended. Some of the students do not get the discipline they deserve! And I was failing because I was not getting the exact help I needed , I felt very hopeless in this school and after my first year here , I transferred immediatly.

I was a student at DRHS. I have been in the Dexter school system since kindergarten. I loved everything about this school! I had an amazing time and met some great people who I am still very close with today. While you may not get along with every teacher (what teenager does) there are always those few that go the distance to help you succeed. I now coach at this district and bring my daughter to many of the games throughout the year. Everyone is so nice and remembers who you were. =)

Unequivocally good to all of the Wampler children and now to Kammeron lee Wampler whom they are advising to get into college. No School could have been faced with more unique situations Than Dexter - Teachers and Counsellors...they went extra mile.grandmere

Dexter Regional High School has proven to be a disappointment. Academically challenged students will receive little to no support here. Four months into the school year neither the Principal nor Guidance Director new who my child was. The fact that my child was failing seemed irrelevant to the staff as my child was still allowed to be a part of all extra curricular activities, according to school policy. While a select few staff members have been proactive, the larger response has been irreverence. Overall MSAD 46 has been academically behind other districts that my children have attended.

'What to say about Dexter Regional High School' perhaps that it is a caring and positive environment..that when you call in you are greeted by secretaries who know about the students you are inquiring about.....who are not to busy to talk to you and give you input-Perhaps I could say it is not only a school for the bright A students but also for the very bright students who are unable to quite get it together yet ..who sometimes fall between the cracks....Perhaps I should mention the teachers who care...or the Principal who takes each child on an individual basis....and helps them in all matters....I couldnt say enough good about Dexter Regional High School

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maine used the Maine High School Assessment (MHSA) to test students in grade 11 in critical reading, math, writing and science.
