It is easy to call this school perfect since they hand pick students who fit neatly into their model. If students present difficulties to their fantasy community, they abruptly kick them out! - regardless of parents' willingness to help work through issues and support the teachers. They do have a wonderful reading/writing program but lack in math/science. They are far from a true community where everyone works together to help students of all types. If you want to pay this organization to help spread their literacy program, feel free. I am happy that my money no longer goes toward pay for teachers who work hard to disseminate their programs (they are a demonstration school) rather than working with all kids and their parents. Public school is a real community where, like a family, they don't simply kick you out if you are annoying. Seems like lazy teaching to me.

This is perhaps the best school I have seen in a long, long time. The teachers know how to get students to do their very best every single day. Reading and writing is stressed throughout the school day and all students perform at their maximum. I recommend that all parents visit the school's open house each year. If all schools were like CTL, illiteracy would be completely wiped out. Further, I would completely ignore the April 10 comments. This school is about as perfect as they come.

This school has the environment of sitting in a dish of home made warm pudding! In other words the atmosphere is loving, sensitive, caring and nurturing. It is also highly intelligent in the way the creative arts are taught. Reading is emphasized constantly as well as art and music. The children are highly motivated to be the individuals they are and, at the same time, are very tuned in to social skills and community. Having been a teacher myself for many years I am very impressed with the staff as well as the students. This school needs to be applauded and rewarded.

CTL is a top-notch school! We have been extremely happy with our first year! I can't think of a better place to nurture young minds.

I am a student here, and i think that your kid would really thrive here...they have great teachers, and the atmosphere is tottaly friendly. Your kid will find it really fun and academic in the best way.
