This School has many woderfull children and Staff. They have an exeptional Strings program and currently have the largest student orchestra in the state of Maine. They also have smart, athletic musical kids!!

I am a graduate from this high school and came in as a transfer. They have an excellent selection of classes through the attached technical center. They also offer a variety of levels for students in their general education classes. Many students have a lack of ambition, but I believe that to be a product of the low-income area. Many student's parents also attended the school, and it seems to just be a typical cycle to continue in their parent's footsteps.

Had 2 children graduate from there and two nieces attend. Love the music and dramatic opportunities offered there.

As a former student and now a parent of a student I hope that this will be helpful. If your child has any special needs then this is not the school for them. The staff is limited in it's knowledge of how to deal with Children that are not behavioral and actually have special needs like brain injuries and LD. From my experience in the past 2 years it is a just pass them on so they can graduate and be out of our school policy. My son is going into the 10th grade and still only has basic elementary education levels and they won't even consider keeping him back.
