Teachers do NOT give a hoot about the kids education. They help their favorites and push the others into a NON GRADUATE program, which the town uses to NOT count the test scores or drop out rates of. Principal needs to go, he's just waiting for his retirement, doesn't care what teachers or staff is doing. MAJOR STUDENT BULLYING among girls happening here. Fights, name calling, property damages... Teachers leave school before the kids, and leave very little "help" time. There are a few (one or two) teachers that care, but the majority are set in their ways. There are teacher bullies too....if you don't agree politically, you better shut your mouth or fail the class! If you don't agree with certain sexual orientations as it's against your belief and religion, watch out, you'll fail! It's REALLY VERY VERY SAD. If you are a robot without emotion, feeling, or opinion, THIS IS THE SCHOOL FOR YOU! The school needs a MAJOR overhaul...NOT of buildings, of ADMINISTRATION (Principal) and teacher staff. Clean house and start over.

Freeport High School is an incredible school. The teachers are passionate, intelligent and caring. My son is a freshman and is loving school and life. There are a lot of outside activities in academics, in the arts, music and sports. The principal and guidance counselor are excellent! We are proud of you, Freeport High!

Excellent opportunities for students, good class sizes, building in good condition with new addition. Any school is only as good as the teachers currently there and the administration

'This school is of good quality if you have good students for children. The teachers seem to cater to those who do well and push those that don't aside ' I agree!

This is a great school. Just because it's in a small town people under-estimate the school!

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Maine used the Maine High School Assessment (MHSA) to test students in grade 11 in critical reading, math, writing and science. The results reported show how well students are mastering state standards, specific skills defined by the state of Maine. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
