Great school. Teachers genuinely care and attend outside events for support. Great music program, and drama program. Lots of middle school level sports offered. New Vice Principal from older comments who is making a difference and has a great philosophy. New "team" system for grades. Kids coming into 6th grade have 2 teacher for 4 subjects. The teachers they students will have in 7th they will keep in 8th. Great new system. Parental involvement varies but shouldn't be held against a school as a school cant make a parent get involved if they don't want to. They still support the kids and encourage rgardless of all situations. Learning disabilities are dealt with at the school through various programs, not sent to other schools.

This school has some good teachers who love children. They work hard to challenge students. These teachers look for students' potential and encourage a lot. However, half of the other staffs including principals don't communicate well students and parents. You never know what's going on school.

This school has a new vice principle he does his job well. He gives students fair punishment and is understanding. The teachers here are good, they make class fun while making sure that students learn. Students are expected to treat others with respect and have assignments in on time. There is after school help if a student needs it, NO student is forced to stay after there is a "late bus" for students that stay after school on tuesday. We have dances once a month from 7 to 9. This school is a basic school with all the things that a basic school would have.

I love the school because the teachers try very hard to reach all students.

The teachers really care about the kids, not just as students but as whole people. They 'go the extra mile' for students who mayber aren't as academically able as others.

The Vice Principle is awful at this school, she talks down to everyone and has no concept of respect. The teachers are good with the exception of a few that don't give the kids the support they need. If your child has any learning disability send them to another school!

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Maine used the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math and in grades 5 and 8 in writing. The NECAP is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maine.
