The West Harpswell School is at the heart of the Harpswell Neck community. Small pupil/teacher ratios and wide parental particpation have created a great learning environment.

This is a great small school. The parents have every opportunity to be involved in their children's education at any level they wish. West Harpswell School has the higest MEA scores in Cumberland County. There are about 70 children in the school, hence the reason for combining classes. The educational levels help students to excell at a comfortable pace and offer the opportunity to be challenged. In our opinion it is a fabulous school that meets all our childrens' needs.

There is lack of communication between the school and the parents. They are very unorganized and set in there ways. They do not have much parent involvement. They combine classes as in 2nd and 3rd graders are together and 4th and 5th etc. They are not a good school in our opinion.
