Back in Fall of 2001, my daughter Casey was welcomed with open arms By the MMC on Charles St. The difficulties she had with day to day life and her social skills made things a bit more difficult for us all here in her home environment. After she spent 10 months with the Teachers and Clinicians, working to improve the aggressive moods and learning skills, we found that with the school in conjunction, teaching us ABA skills, that Casey's life was improving almost daily! THey helped us transition her back into public schools here, though new scenarios upset her, we worked through them as a unit and the MMC Team guiding us.got Casey back on track. in 2009, she was introduced to the Dixfield school system and is excelling there! Her social skills, her classwork, and follow through has been amazing. Just one class, just her math class is in the classroom with Lucy Kochis, and she is still growing in leaps and bounds there. Her lowest grade throughout the past 3 years, has been a mid 80! She has been in plays, but the biggest leap was this December, she took part in a play at 49 Franklin St. in Rumford, and covered where tech had minor mistakes. She soared thru it and was glowing!
We have a child that goes to margret Murphy they have gone over and beyond trying to help us they have gone out of state to go to doctor appointment with us they have been very welcoming to our in home staff to come in and observe for the carry over at home we our very pleased and our child is moving forward due to the teachers hard work and determination thank you for your out of the box style you are doing wonderful work
They don't work well with blended families, lots of blame tossing when children do not progress as well as the should. Placing unfounded blame accusations on a child's school record and creating problems between parents. Noncustodial, unrelated persons have more say than legal family members if they choose to like them more. Overall I believe they have good intentions but need to work on supporting blended families rather than tearing them apart. It never helps the child to have parents that work well together as a team pitted against each other. The attitudes of the staff dealing with parents (drop off and pick up) need work. And if a child is being dropped off and picked up late almost daily they should contact both parents rather than letting that go on as they did. I hope they improve for the sake of future students and parents but I chose to remove my child to prevent future hostilities. My child was blessed to have four caring parents and we all played an important role for him. A school should encourage that rather than tear it apart.. In the end it was them who was taken out of the equation.
Poland Regional H.S. tells the parents that they are preparing the students for their career- from day one. They talk about the "Round Table" teams, but this is a laugh. The teachers do not follow through with their students and then at the last minute they are running around telling their Round Table students that they need stuff. PRHS does NOT want parents involoved because then the parents would see how disorganized they are.
