Monroe Elementary is a beautiful, small town school. The recent leadership change has brought some focus and accountability. The school has always performed well on the MEA which illustrates the academic rigor and teacher quality. There is an academic after school program, but extra-curricular activities are organized by parent organizations. Parent involvement tends to revolve around a few, but the community steps in when invited and/or requested. Students have been involved in local community and international issues. A fabulous community school.
