We are not having the positive experience that some of the other posts indicate. At best, the school is mediocre. The headmaster is sincere, but an ineffectual leader of the academic staff, as well as an astonishingly poor public speaker. The latter being an essential skill of an administrator. The facilities are improving, but still lag behind any average high school. There is no auditorium, or even a standard length track! On family night, the teachers talk a good game of being available for extra help, but good luck finding one 10 minutes after dismissal, or before first bell. Several times, we have tried to discuss issues with specific teachers, and are ignored, or met with an unwarranted defensive attitude. This is in utter contrast to the fine K-8 school (GSB) that feeds into LA. This school will have to do for most locals, as neighboring schools are inconvenient and little or no better. But, send you kids to private school if you can afford to do so, or move to a better school district.

Lincoln Academy has done an outstanding job of educating my children. The school climate is supportive and caring. It has a comprehensive curriculum meaning it serves the educational needs of all the students in the community--from several challenging AP courses, college prep, technology, and special education services. The administration and faculty are passionate about teaching. There are several athletic, performing arts, and extra-curricular activities to round out the students's education.

Lincoln Academy has been an excellent school and value for my three children. The teachers are caring and talented--outstanding music and theatre departments-- several AP offerings with graduates gaining entrance into the finest colleges--including Ivy Leagues. Lincoln Academy does well with addressing the educational needs of all of its students. There are also several athletic and extra-curricular offerings.

I was very disappointed in their academic programs. The school touted themselves as being very academically sound...they did not live up to the billing.

Lincoln Academy is the bet school in the state encompassing all aspects of sport and academic life. The students are great, the teachers, wonderful. I wouldn't want to go to any other school if I had a choice.
