I feel that here at Oxford we all really care about students. We work together to try to make every student feel comfortable and important here. Even though our student population is overall quite needy we work hard to enable every student to reach his/her potential.

The students and teachers have so much of which to be proud! They have overcome so much in recent history... Over half of the school population lives in poverty. Two years ago the school did not make adequate yearly progress, according to the federal government standards. Staff implemented interventions, found ways to increase parent involvement, and took steps to increase their level of professional knowledge through coursework and volunteered, unpaid time. This past year, Oxford Elementary School made adequate yearly progress on our state's standardized testing and staff and students continue to set and pursue high standards of excellence for continued growth!
