I attend this school. I am not satisfied with it one bit. I have been in the GaTE program for both Language Arts and Math since 4th grade. Now that I have moved up to the middle school, there are no more advanced classes. Chorus is not taken as a serious subject, and same with Drama club or any of the arts. Some students attend those just to get out of normal classes. The principal and a few other leaders of the school focus too much on things such as bullying, and seem to not notice the qualities of the work that is being done. Many of the teachers and adults here treat the students like they are still in elementary school, or act like a kindergarten teacher themselves. In one of my classes, (I am in seventh grade,) I have walked in and been given a coloring paper to complete, given the whole class period. I have a couple dozen coloring sheets from that class this year. I am a "4 student," and for the most part always have my work done and handed in on time. Several other people in my classes rarely ever have their work done at all. There are NO CONSEQUENCES whatsoever if you do not have work done on time. We are given extra time to just hand it in when we choose to. I'm not proud

This school has done an amazing job of bringing together the students from the three towns. It turned out better than we expected!

This school relies too much on how to make life easiest for the students and does not teach the children that there are consequences in the 'working world' if you do not complete your work on time. They send the message that it is okay to hand in work when you are ready to hand it in rather than on the deadline or due date you were given. They do however teach the required curriculum to the students.

This is a small middle school with wonderful, caring teachers. While there are no special classes for kids who are used to more advanced work, the teachers encourage kids to challenge themselves in their regular classes. The best thing about the school is the teachers and staff. They care about the kids and the parents. They are open to parent suggestions and to creating plans to help the children succeed.
