I love this school. My teachers in LC 1 are awesome. They are easy to talk to, and if you need help with anything, they'll help you.

This school has a wonderful, caring principal and the guidance department goes above and beyond what you find at most schools.

The principal and vice principal are wonderful and understanding of this age group. Some of the teachers need training, not in educating a person, but rather educating and understanding teenagers. Discipline is well above average. Safety excellent. I feel quite safe while my child is at Sanford Junior High School.

Sanford Junior High has excellent staff members, a caring guidance department, however, the demographics of this district make it difficult for a middle class child to keep the norms of a middle class philosophy. Many programs are missing. Gifted and Talented positions are few; it is made up of two consultants to oversee too many schools and students. There is no foreign language departments available at the Jr. High School. It is geared for children who are at the poverty level. Most resources support this statement. Overall, staff and administration are doing an excellent job with little room for programming for the middle to upper class family .

Sanford Junior High School is an excellent school. It has a mix of students from all income levels. It has some excellent teachers and a very helpful guidance department. There are many clubs to participate in. It is always clean and welcoming. The rate of parent involvement could be higher.

Sanford Junior High School is a very good school for anyone interested in clubs. They have everything from Student Council to the Yu-Gi-Oh Club. The Sports department is also above average with Field Hockey, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Cheering, and more. I think the structure could use improving, and they should be more strict. My son, Eric gets teased a lot at this school and the teachers/principal do not seem to do anything to put a stop to it. However some of the students are not all that good, but the actual school itself is pretty good.
