Good area school. Has committed staff that make the most of the limited financial resources available to them in a rural area. District is committed to quality arts, music & physical education, staff training & keeping up with best practices. After school sports and activities are consistently available and we have excellent afterschool & summer programs offered @ MVS through a partnership with the Maine Seacoast Mission. Obtaining & expanding special education programming/support at the district admin level can be a challenge but the local SpEd staff again are caring & committed. I offer these comments as a practicing speech-language pathologist (most of my early intervention caseload has transitioned to Mountain View these past 11 years,) and mother of 2 special needs children who attend the school.
