I am an honors student at Northern Garrett now, although some of the teachers are good, the majority are no where near the caliber they are said to be. The vice principal has gone way overboard when it comes to rules and the entire administration is lacking. I am a vegan student and I politely provided all the information needed and a petition asking for vegetarian friendly meal choices at the least and I was ignored. When I approached my principal about he said that I have no choice and if I did not like what they served, then I should pack. This is a very small school, I think we are at about 400 this year, but still the staff is unable to appropriately control the student body. There are multiple teachers in this school that are unable to teach their subjects in the more modern environment.

I have three children, two in NHS and one in NMS. I have visited and toured northern garrett high school on more than one occasion. I have met the vice-principal, the secretaries, and a couple of the teachers and it is obvious that the teachers and staff care about the students and want them to succeed in their chosen fields. The facilities at northern garrett high school are impressive for a relatively small school and they have so much to offer, every student that graduates from northern garrett high school should do well whether they choose to further their education or go straight into the work force. The staff at both Northern Middle & Northern High show great interest in the students educational success & extracurriculars. I find them to be very cooperative and concerned in general.

I have a daughter that attends NHS and a son in NMS. I couldn't imagine my children attending any other school. I know that they are safe and the education that they recieve is more than outstanding!

Northern Garrett High is the worst school that anyone here has ever had to tolerate! PS the Vice Principal is terrible!
