The parents and families at this school are very involved. There are numerous fund raisers throughout the year. It is very focused on standardized test scores and hold children back who do not meet expectations in certain subjects. The administration has fostered an atmosphere of discipline over nurture. I have personally witnessed teachers speaking to children in a very unkind and unprofessional manner including my child's current teacher. We will be seeking out other options for next year.

The school is absolutely wonderful. Honestly, the staff knows all the children. The class sizes are small about 15 on average and the curriculum is top notch.

Great school serving predominantly military families in the annapolis area. The class sizes are small (usually no more than 16 per class) and the teachers are great! the facilities are well-maintained albeit with such a small school there's not much to maintain). We have 2 children in the school and both absolutely love it. Parental involvement is high. Most teachers find oporunities to allow parents to get directly involved with their classes (i.E. Assisting with computer labs, science labs, class parties, etc.) My only substantial complaint is the lack of a 'real' gym. The current gym is basically a renovated section of the basement. There may be some hope: the school's neighbor, the naval academy golf course pro shop, is relocating in the near future. I am hopeful the administration uses the opportunity to consider acquiring the building to expand the school and improvement to physical education facilities.

Wonderful teachers and administrators in a small school setting. This school excels in all areas. The academic programs challenge and encourage students. Can't say enough great things about this school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
