Very pleased with this school thus far. The principal is not a micromanager, she is very engaging and supportive of the teachers (something you should expect from a leader). I especially like the small class sizes!

We were REALLY disappointed with this school. The schedule and curriculum planed for our 3 year old was great, but the interaction between teacher and student combined with the teacher-to-student ratio is awful! The classroom is girl-centered. The teacher would NOT provide feedback on our child's progression, and the professionalism of the staff is non-existent. Would NOT recommend school to persons with active children. Have a lot more to say, but will keep the really negative comments minimal.

This school is great if you have a 3 or 4 year old but Kindergarten through the fifth grade is not a place I would recommend. The principle likes to micro-manage the classroom teachers. The teachers aren't able to successfully capture the attention of the students.. A lot of emphasis is placed on doing more but there isn't a balance. Students are expected to sit in class for several hours but there isn't any downtime. Kids also need to learn outside the classroom through playtime.

Hope Academy is an excellant school built on reigious principals. H.O.P.E. - Hoping Our People Excel was a vision of Pastor P.M. Smith of Huber Memorial Church and has been in existance for just over 10 yeras. My daughter has attended since Pre-K and is now a 5th grader. She loves the school and the Administarative Staff and Teachers love her. My daughter was a shy little girl when she started and being there has helped her to blossom into a creative, beautiful and helpful individual. I would highly recommand this school to all who want their children to experience excellance in education based on a balance of christian values.

H.O.P.E Academy is a wonderful school. My son has been enrolled at H.O.P.E since preK-4; he's now in the 5th grade & will be graduating in June. My may is above average in every subject. He enjoys the school & I really believe they enjoy him. The atmosphere is very safe, and the children really enjoy learning & being challenged. H.O.P.E. Academy is a diamond waiting to be mined. The teachers & staff are there working hard because of their love for God, education & our future leaders of tomorrow. Thanks H.O.P.E Academy for the great partnership.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
