This school is horrible. I'm in the process of transferring my two children out of there now. They do not teach these children. Children are wild and rowdy, and in turn the teachers are always yelling and screaming. The fighting that goes on there is ridiculous. They don't follow up with you on any issue, from the teachers to the principal. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!! Test scores are horrible.
gilmor is a excellent school for these children. its just what they need to get the parents involved annd keep the children interested. i know that since my son has been there everyday he wants to talk about what they did in school that day and wants to know if i know anything about what he is learning and i owe that all to gilmor. i have a good feeling that by my son being in this school it will bring out the best in him.
Some of the teachers at this school were caring and thoughtful. My daughter had the priviledge of being in Ms. Flowers class and she taught my daughter how to build her confidence and taught her things that were far beyond any teacher guide book and I will always remember her for that. Unfortunately, there are many good teachers there who have quit because the administration was not solid ground. Sometimes the administration would let the students get away with anything.
My daughter is currently in the 5th grade there, at one time I was going to have her transferred because of the quality of the teaching. Under it's new leadership, for the past 2years the school has far surpassed it's teaching capabilities. She is getting what she needs now.
