This is my daughter's second year at Leith Walk. She's in the third grade. When I transferred my daughter to Leith Walk, I saw a big difference from her previous school. The school was bright, vibrant, very inviting. It made me say 'Wow!' The teachers are excellent, no nonsense, firm but loving teachers. The principal is a jewel. She's like a mom away from home. She's very aware and attentive to the students. Just like the teachers, she's no nonsense, firm but loving. The aides, the office staff, the parents all work together to achieve one goal. That's to give our children a winning chance at learning, they believe in academic achievement and excellence. Thank you Leith Walk for bringing out the best in my daughter.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
