i am appalled at the quality of the school as a while . There is very poor communication, preparation, and education.

Needs more parent involment, that's all. If parents would concider being more involved and show that they care, the children would improve. The teachers are there, they just need to know you and how your child best learn.

Matthew Henson Elementary School provides students with an adequate education. It is my opionion that it could do a much better job with administrators who are more concerned about student achievement. The lead administrator does not respond to parents nor students.

Matthew A. Henson is a school that strives to help students develop to their fullest potential by impowering the parents as well as the students. On 10 Feb, the school held a meeting to inform parent about the upcoming MSA testing for grades 3-5. This session proved to be very informative and much needed. If the parents are informed and involved, the students will follow in the same pattern.
