I love this school. This school has helped my daughter learn so much, She has advanced in sighting words and spelling them, and she is only in pre-k.. My little brother has advanced very well as far as sentence structures, and writing an essay. I am in college, and the things he is learning is in my English 101 class..

This is an excellent Elementary School within Baltimore City. The teachers and staff are friendly and extremely involved with the children. They have some of the best Pre-K and Kindergarden teachers in Maryland. The staff of Westside Elementary School goes above and beyond for their pupils and I am proud to say I am a parent of a student who attends this wonderful school.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
