best school in baltimore county only if the teachers and staff could move up with the children to middle school it would be great my daughter still attends this school at present and through our medical issues over the past couple of years they have been a big help and have taken good care of both of my children they are great teachers and a big help with everything that happens inside and outside of the school i especially enjoy the after school activities that everyone gets involved in if this school could receive a ten on rating it would been the only one in the county

My children have been attending this school for 4 years, my oldest just went to Middle school, they prepared him over and beyond to get him ready, they are a wonderful support system, I have had some personal issues and they were right there to lend a helping hand. I can NOT say ENOUGH nice things about the faculty and staff there. They really do look at each child individually and help them with their not so strong points and make them strong. You are a VERY lucky person if your child gets to attend this school, again from the principal to the maintence staff they are ALL VERY wonderful!!!!

I have 2 girl at sandy plains this year, and it will be their last. One is graduating 5th grade and the other will move to another elem. school. I find it hard to believe that when u mark on the report card envelope you want a conference and even call the school and leave a message you get no response from the teacher. I always thought the teachers should care enough to at least call a parent back, or answer the many notes left in her box for her by myself. I have no complaints with the principal who is wonderful, but if the teachers can't do their job then what can be done?

My daughter and I moved to Dundalk in 2004. I'm a single mom and part of the reason that I chose this area was because of the stats that were available on this web site for Sandy Plains Elementery School. It took 7 months to find a public school that would be challenging and would encourage the students to achieve. I am greatful that Sandy Plains Elementery School was all I'd hoped. The staff has been fantastic, from administration to teachers; right up to Principal Walker. There is a great amount of enthusiasm during meetings and evening programs. Wonderful School!

I have had children in this school since my 18 year old was in Kindergarten, she now substitutes here. Sandy Plains has come a long way, and the current staff and adminstrators have made great efforts to ensure the safety and well being of every student. Parent involvement is encouraged and welcomed. There are many extra activities for the students as well as parents. Academically the children are encouraged by extra help in the classrooms. I have seen many improvements this year and administrators are very willing to listen to ideas from parents.

I am just thrilled that I was lucky enough to find a supportive and caring school! Our principal is wonderful! the staff is caring, supportive and always willing to help in anyway. My family has truly been blessed! We are comfortable and confident our children are safe in their hands. The speech teacher is great and has been more than just a teacher but someone that has opened her heart and made my child feel confident and secure. Thank you to everyone at Sandy Plains!
