Hi there, Does anyone remember Cathi Plesinski? She may have attended MLK way back in the sixties. She lived on Emack Road. I know that this is a long shot, but would appreciate any info available. Malky

My daughter attended MLK for her 7th and 8th grade year. I personally love this school. The teachers and staff care about the students and you can tell. When I go in to speak with them regarding her grades, we are both on the same page. They are aware and caring. The teachers take their personal time to help the students. Her Latin teacher offered a Latin Club for students to attend in the morning for those who needed additional help. My daughter s math teacher also offered to tutor a group of kids in the morning before class. MLK has helped my daughter tremendously and it shows in her grades.

MLK is a good school overall, but some of the staff seem to be in a bad mood. There are a lot of extra-curricular activities and the curriculum is challenging academically. There is much order and discipline.

Although this is my first year at MLK, it is a blast. The teachers really take the time to help you succeed in your work. They have programs based on your grade level and they really treat you like adults.

It is a very good school, with very nice teachers. Mrs. Kell helped me so much and I would not be in one of the highest honors out of high school right now. -Maria
