We moved to the area "temporarily" and thought our child would only be in Brunswick High School for a few months. However, he grew to love it, and we decided not to move to Northern Virginia after all because of the positive experience here. BHS is the smallest high school in Frederick County, but it's actually great since my child is not just "a drop in the bucket". From talking with friends involved with other high schools in the area, I get the impression that Brunswick just doesn't have as many problems with drugs, violence, "worldliness", that other places do. The kids I have seen and gotten to know seem like good down-to-earth kids overall. I have gotten to know a lot of the staff and teachers as well --I have gotten very positive impressions about them all. There's a new principal this year who I've heard good things about too. Of course, no school is perfect, but we are very happy with Brunswick Hight School.

I'm was former student there ( i now attend Poolesville High School) and it traumatized me. The teachers were mean the students were meaner and i learned absolutely nothing but I love my new school!

The size of the school to the number of students i think is just right. There are a wide variety of sports like, football, soccer, lacross, tennis, base-ball, track and even golf. But the school has many rules that put the students education before sports and after school activities. The teachers are very helpful and there is even a tutoring program after school free to all students twice a week with a bus home. True you have limited cources due to popularity (no German, chinese, things like that -they offer French, latin and Spanish is always offered) but their AP courses and teaching academy make up for it. Over all Brunwswick has some bumps but is a great school.

I graduated from Brunswick in 2006 and I attended the Brunswick feeder schools for 7 years. Overall, Brunswick has well educated teachers and a warm and welcoming staff and it provides a good environment for learning! Since it is a smaller school, you don't get as many options, class wise, but all of the offered classes are taught to the upmost standard and all of the teacher's attention is paid to help the students learn and enjoy their high school experience. Great school :)

I'm currently a freshman and it's overall a good school. But the pricipal is very strict; and there is only four laguages that you can choose from and only two you can get into to. But aside from the prinicpal and her rules, it's not a bad scool to go to

As a student at Brunswick High, in my junior year, I recommend Brunswick to any student wishing to obtain a quality education and high school experience. The small class sizes and close teacher-student relationships allow a more supportive learning environment to be had. I will take countless happy memories away from my experience at Brunswick, and urge parents not to judge the school based upon its very inaccurate lackluster reputation.

From my children's experience, currently, Brunswick High School is the worst school academically, athletically and socially. It would be in their best interest if you did not send your child to this school.
