I rate Tanglewood with the highest marks possible. As a special education school, where one might expect a fight to be heard and/or believed, Tanglewood is very open to parent's, grandparents, and caregiver's opinions and input, and willingly employ suggested techniques in the child's curriculum. It is often very difficult to merge parent's expectations and goals with organizational policies and requirements for special education; however, Tanglewood's administration, educators, and related services staff, effectively bridge the gap with open and honest communication, a myriad of opportunites to get and stay involved with the day to day activities for your child, frequent alternative educational input through Community Based Instruction, and the amiable and welcoming environment clearly demonstrate their care and love of their students. As a parent to a child with special needs, it's never easy trusting your child's care to someone on the outside but the principal, teachers, and staff at Tanglewood quickly eased my concerns. The teachers are extremely proactive in designing specialized activities to work with each child's condition. The school offers a great academics and therapeutic program. I was most impressed with the level of involvement that the students are exposed to. Rather than secluding the children from normal day-to-day activities due to their condition, Tanglewood offers safe alternatives to keep the students engaged in such activities as arts & crafts, aquatics therapy, pets-on-wheels, field trips, Special Olympics, and other great activities. This has been a very productive and successful year for my child and I ve noticed a great improvement in her condition. It's evident that the staff and faculty genuinely love and care for our children!! Thank you Tanglewood!!

Tanglewood is a special place for special needs kids. The staff and teachers truly have the best interests of the kids at heart each day. There are lots of activities and events for kids and class sizes are small. This allows every child to get specialized attention with therapists and teachers throughout the day. Kids participate in music, art, aquatics, field trips and other special events each week. Great teachers, great staff and an awesome principal!
