The administration at this school is responsive to parental needs and concerns. My son, who is a senior, had already met his core requirements for graduating but needed help with the SAT and needed an accommodation made so that he could have an "in school" place to study. The school created a way to make this happen and it was very helpful. I was pleased that nobody said, "that's against our policies" as that is the #1 response made by stuffy do-gooders who rarely do good. So, I am pleased with this school on many levels but decided that this one example would speak volumes about their overall concern for students.

Fort Hill was an awsome experience for me, and I wish I could just go back. I loved it there. When in school I made great friends, but not only with other students, but with the teachers as well. The teachers really try to make sure that everyone is learning and gets the help they need. This school provides an awsome creative atmosphere as well, the art programs are great, and it's well worth taking an art class if you atend this school.

Fort Hill... This school offers an excellent education, but only if you put forth the effort to do so. I'd have to admit that it's easy to get side-tracked from your studies. Though the greatest thing about the place ,I'd have to say, is the football, being on the team myself. The band is awesome, the other extracurricular activities are awesome, but the focus on education... not so much. Which is why I gave this place 4 stars.

The athletics department is one of the good things about Fort Hill besides the studies. Each sport is acells in what they do. You can't go anywhere in Cumberland without knowing something about Forthill Football,Basketball,Volleyball, Soccer, or tennis.

The best part about Fort Hill is the sense of community. Students will feel as though they are part of something bigger than themselves, which has a positive effect on how they act, in accordance with how they feel they represent the school.

I would recommend Fort Hill High School because they have caring teachers who will try and help your child if they are having trouble. They also have great activities for the kids. There are many clubs for the parents to get involved with.
