My child has started Kindergarten in this school. She and a few others are already advanced and can read grade 3 level books, good in math as well. So when we talked to the principal and teacher, they were more than open to hearing us and letting us know how they keep her and others ahead so they don't get bored. Kids are grouped and cross grouped for mentoring their friends which is really great. The teacher is hands down amazing and anyone I have talked says the teachers in the whole school are great. Another highlight is PTA - outstanding involvement, programs, science fairs and parent involvement.
My child has been here 4 years, started in PEP. I LOVE the love and attention my child receives at this school. He feels it and that makes me happy. He enjoys going to school because the teachers make school fun and learning exciting. I feel he is absolutely challenged academically. All of his teachers have had an open door policy and are very kind and approachable. Don't be discouraged by a couple of sour parents, far more of us "happy ones" - just get out here and see.
In my opinion, I totally echo the prior negative review. This school is not challenging. If you inquire about your children's education, you will not be received well. You can not be an advocate for your child's education at this school, unless your doing a fundraiser. Kindergarten was the most challenging and went down from there.
