The school and teachers don't work well with adhd or kids that are on a 504 plan

There is much bullying going on and school takes the side of the bully in all situations

They do not treat all the kids as equals. Damascus has a clique feel and if you are not part of that clique, you get crapped on.

They seem to hold a grudge against the students whose parents have tried to be an advocate.

In my opinion, I totally echo the prior negative review. This school is not challenging. If you inquire about your children's education, you will not be received well. You can not be an advocate for your child's education at this school, unless your doing a fundraiser. Kindergarten was the most challenging and went down from there.

The teachers are pretty lazy and don't want to be challenged. The principal is very hands off and has been there for more then 15 years.

my daughter has been a student here for many years, she has not only received a stellar education, this school's sense of community is exemplary.

This is a fabulous school with positive, supportive leadership & teachers. The PTA is very involved and contributes greatly to the needs and social activities of the children. In fact, there is so much parental involvement at this school, they have to draw names for the parents allowed to attend field trips!
