The Country School provides a nurturing environment for learning appropriate for the ages of the students. The small classroom size allows for more individualized attention to each student. The school strives to educate the student as a whole individual through not only its academics but its extra-curricular activities as well. The importance of strong values and character is re-inforced on a daily basis. Teachers and staff provide a very happy and positive environment in the school. One feels this positive attitude as you walk through the halls. The school has an active parent association offering a full range of opportunities for parents to get involved.

The classes are small (<17) allowing the teachers to focus on individual student needs. The school has excellent teachers and administrators who address parents concerns promptly. Students go on to a variety of secondary schools and all report being exceptionally well prepared for whatever further education awaits them. Safety has been a priority for the administration resulting in an extremely safe environment. There is excellent parent involvement and support. The teachers and staff go out of their way to provide an extremely happy, productive, vibrant atmosphere which allows all students to meet their full potential.

What a wonderful family school with great academics, wonderful teachers, and a real value! Don't let the outside fool you, you must see the inside! Its worth double the tuition.

Small private school grades K-8. Approx. 330 students total. Very family oriented. Individual attention to student's abilities. Strong emphasis on writing and literature. Foreign language emphasis. Also offers Latin in Upper School. Great drama emphasis and music and computer emphasis. Team sports and community volunteer involvement for students. Uniform policy but still allows individuality. Graduates have a unique advantage in that study skills are taught at an early age, as well as time management skills. Impressive curriculum that motivates students to concentrate on their effort as opposed to their overall grades. In other words, character is emphasized to do the best that you can and be the best that you can be! Great school!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
