It's still too early to say but this is my first experience with a charter school, my 5th grader has improved from 4th grade public school last year, she has improved in math, and is reading on a daily basis. She has gone from making Cs to As and Bs. There are some very dedicated teachers( especially Ms. Bell) who take the time to work with her, she is more confident and like to to go to school. There are a few things that need to improve. One, the students are in school long hours and only get P.E once a week. They are in a very small space, and they don't have a computer lab. I will say they emphasize college all the time and the uniforms are great. I'm very optimistic about the parent group-they seem to be very concerned. Ms. Skinner, the office mgr is great.
I was one of the parents that attended the open house,i was very pleased with the turn of parents.Overall i think it's a different world than my daughter is use too.One thing i like too add for the readers there're in schhool 70% more then the other schools.10 Hour days i loveit.
