I attended this school 30 years ago when my father was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. I was in Kindergarten and 1st Grade and to the best of my memory and from what my parents tell me, I enjoyed it and had excellent teachers. I'm glad to see that this has not changed despite the passage of time.

I recently joined the fabulous staff at Edgewood Elementary after relocating from another state! This is my 8th year teaching in a public school and I have to say that I am very fortunate to have been placed at EES. Not only is the principal extremely helpful, supportive, knowledgeable and professional, but incredibly friendly and funny! The entire support system in Harford County receives an A plus from me! The faculty at EES genuinely care about each student and strive to encourage family and community involvement. I have never felt so 'at home' in my teaching career! I truly look forward to going to work everyday! I hope to get my two sons in this school when they are of school-age!

This is an Awesome school. We entered mid year, and before I enrolled my 2 sons the staff, from the secretary to the Special Needs Teachers were doing everything they could to put our minds at ease and the transition smooth. The IEP team there is a refreshing change from the other schools we've been at as a military family. Everyone including the principle is so easy going my kids actually look forward to school. And most importantly, they not only understand that kids don't come from a cookie cutter, but they encourage individuality and embrace it. The teachers and staff always make the time for any questions or concerns I have. And to top it of, security is taken personally. Teachers know the parents and kids by sight, even if the kids don't go to their class. And there are so many teachers out during dismissal, they notice everything.

This school is so clean. The teachers are friendly. The students are happy. I love this school. Being a military parent, and seeing schools around the globe this is the cleanest school I have ever seen.

Wow MS. Sundquist is not just an Educator, shes a leader, I would have to say that the teachers go above and beyond for every child every day. Extra programs such as Math buddies, and the fall festival. my child feels happy every day when she comes home, and says mommy I have learned something today. Being a military parent I have seen many different schools and this truely is ranked one of the best in the nation, the teachers greet you, the principal is truely dedicated, the janitors open the doors and say have a great evening, After school programs with extremly dedicated teachers such as mr. Coultier he is incredible. Thanks I cant say enough great things.

My family recently moved here from out of state. My son previously attended parochial schools and I was concerned about putting him in a public school. I have been very pleased. The principal, teachers, and staff are committed to providing a quality education to the children who attend. Caring and friendliness emanates from the school as you drive up. Every morning the teachers and staff are outside waving to parents and greeting the children as they walk to school or get off a bus. The school is culturally diverse and forward thinking, and it shows in the way the children relate to one another. If you want to see what a pristine, fun, parent and child friendly elementary looks like, this is the one to visit. It is a positive contribution to the community; parent involvement is wonderful, as well as business and the local military base participation.

I think this is a wonderful school full of teachers who care about their students. The school gets a bad rap because of the location but I love it! The Principle is a wonderful lady who cares that the kids get a good education.

This school is a gem!! Moving here from the Boston area four years ago, we were concerned about 'negative' information and comments coming out of the community about the school. As a proactive mesure, my family visited the school and talked at lenght with the principal about our concerns. My child has now been enrolled at EES for going on her fourth year and I am constantly amazed at the wonderful things happing there! Teachers, staff and administration are accepting and helpful with ANY concern. They are a huge support of the community, to include the military component of APG. I couldn't be more convinced that having this school in my child's education was the right thing to do. I encourage anyone with questions to call and visit the school. Negative media, hearsay and rumors are NOT to be used when evaluating a school!

This is a great school with a bad rap! The teachers are wonderful and truely care about the kids. In 2003 our principle was the MD State Principal of the Year. This year they won a MD award for having a clean school. We have attended this school for 4 years and I feel that is a safe school for our children. They have a awesome PTA.

My son has done wonderfully at this school. The teachers and administrators both support and seem to enjoy the children. It is a positive place to be.
