I adore McNamara. My sister & I both graduated from here & are doing very well, as are my other friends who have attended this school. The teachers care & the environment is like a family. Yes, sometimes the rules are too strict, but you still have fun. When I went to college, I was one of the few who actually knew how to study & write a paper because of McNamara. Yes, Catholic tuition is expensive but they go out of their way to make sure you are able to afford them through grants & scholarships. Take advantage of the fine arts here, they are outstanding! Sports are being built up as well but their division is one of the toughest in the nation. Bishop McNamara is an excellent school & I would send my own children as well as recommend it to anyone I know.

BMHS is a fantastic school!!!!! Their policies and procedures adhere to the safety and respect for each student! BMHS has strong disciplinary policies which are needed in a high school! As a parent, I value and commend these policies. These policies and procedures create caring and responsible young men and women at the end of their four years! This is a wonderful College Prep high school that prepares students to move on to major Universities and Ivy League schools well educated and with confidence. I have a sophomore who is currently in the top 10% of the class of 2013. She loves BMHS!!! From the minute she arrived, BMHS opened their arms and made her feel comfortable. It is truly Family! All of the faculty members have their student s best interest in mind. They strive to make sure that all students obtain what is needed to be successful. The main glue to this successful school is the President of BMHS. He is wonderful! He is amazing with the students and knows the majority of his students and parents by name!!!! He is committed to higher education for BMHS.

This school is disgusting. Their practices and policies are an outrage. I would never, ever send a child of mine to this dishonorable place.

BMHS is an excellent high school due to great teachers and administrators who consistently deliver a well rounded education to each child. The environment is high achieving while full of heart. The school has wonderful extracurriculars and the best spirit around. The music program is dynamic and renowned. My children are challenged and supported and they love going to school each day.

My daughters, classes of 2006 and 2008, though they didn't graduate from there because we were transferred overseas, owe their success in college to the outstanding preparation they received at BMHS. Caring, knowledgeable teachers and wonderful dance, music, and theater programs as well as a wide variety of extra-curriculars.

This school is wonderful for diversity. The administration in recent years has been lacking focus but for the most part this is a wonderful high school. The extracurricular activites are fantastic.

This school is ethnically diverse, very well organized, and staffed with people who are dedicated to providing a good education rooted in christian beliefs. My son graduated from this school in 2004 and my daughter is currently attending. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are creative in trying to convey the material. The teachers make themselves available to help the students after class if necessary. I have been extremely satisfied with this school and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Both my children (classes of 2003 and 2006) have truly been blessed by their time at BMHS. The teachers are committed to the students welfare, both mind and spirit. The administration goes the extra mile to make sure the kids know that they care. They are always there, for all the extracurricular events - even swim meets 50 miles away. The sports programs and theatre art programs are first rate. The academic programs are extensive and demanding,. as shown in the very high college acceptence rate every year. McNamara graduates do well in college.

I have 2 children attending BMHS. I only have praise for the school. The teachers are truly dedicated to the students. The students are encourage and expected to take responsibility for their action and education. It is a multicultural environment the teachers treat the students with respect. The principal is a great leader, he sets the example for his staff and his students, he expects the best and gives his best. He treats both staff and student with great respect and in return receives the same. BMHS is very dedicated to their student, whether your child is an A or a D student The faculty is there to help them succeed the best that they can. I can truly say we are bless to have found BMHS.

My child graduated in 2003 and I was pleased with the education he received. The staff if very dedicated to the students. I have known teachers to make themselves available to help any student before school, lunch and after school. It is truelly a multicultural, family environment. My child has moved on and I continue to volunteer because, it's family.

An excellent multicultural high school that focuses on providing students with a well rounded educational opportunity. A great team of teachers, counselors and administrators who consistently demonstrate that the success and well being of the children is their number one priority. My son is entering his 4th year and we could not be happier with this institution.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
