Eckhart Alternative School

I see the interworking of Eckhart Alternative School on a daily basis. And no I am not employed by the Board of Ed. Eckhart Does have troubled youth and is not like a 'regular' school. That is why it is an 'alternative' school. With that said the School Administration runs the school very well and does have strict but fair discipline. The discipline falls directly under the guidelines of that of the Allegany County Board of Education. Eckhart works with many students in different ways to meet there physical, psychological, and emotional needs. I can't say enough about how hard the teachers work to try to give the best education possible to the students, I personally believe that Eckhart is an essential part of the Allegany County School System and is operating under the best conditions possible. Good work Mr. Koon and all the staff there!

You obviously have a personal beef with the Principal; however I have found that Mr. Koon as the other poster stated, has only the best interest of the kids in his heart. He is a fair and very caring individual. And as far as discipline, why don't you visit the school one day and you will see, with your own eyes.

I will have to disagree with the second review. That school only deals with trouble makers and the principal there really dosen't do nothing about discpline there. thank you.

I will have to disagree with the first review. My child was a student at this school and received a quality education and also the discipline that was needed. Not only do they have good teachers, the principal is a very caring individual with a genuine concern for the students. He is very firm but very fair and has the best interest of the students at hand.

I used to go to that school and the principal there dosen't do nothing about discipline and the thing that was great about that school was the teachers.
