Stewick from the first day of school thru today three years later has been a disapointment to me. They are nice yes, they do what they sould, yes. The only thing I would ask you to look at are the test scores compared to other schools in a 30 mile area from here, they speek for themselves.

Stedwick is a good school. The Enrichment activities are wonderful opportunities for the kids and are optional for most classes. They include: Living-History, World-Day, Science Fair and a student yearly publication. The children are encouraged to submit articles to the PTA newsletter. The music and art programs are wonderful and my children have learned a lot through these. Music includes instrumental, chorus and Orff and their concerts. The teachers are good and care about the kids. Cultural-Arts assemblies are great. There is an after-school tutoring program for those who wish it and great clubs for the kids, including Science, Yearbook, Computer, Art, FLES - Foreign Language and Chess. The only disadvantage is they are so popular, currently kids can only be in one. A disadvantage is the William and Mary (gifted-readers) program is not currently active. Overall I am very happy my children attend Stedwick. They get a good, well rounded education.

The PTA program is great. When I browsed thro PTA programs in some more 'recognised' schools, I found them to be only fund raising programs with very little student enrichment programs. In this school my daughter learned a lot thro various PTA-sponsored programs like History Day, Science Fair Day, International Day, Mathathon etc. Teachers are good too. May be other schools may learn from the PTA in this school.

Stedwick is a great place for young children. Not only do they get a great education, they have fun in a pleasant, educational atmosphere. The staff is wonderful. I can't say one bad thing about the staff. And all the students have fun getting prepared for middle school and are excited when the time comes. The only negative with the school is that it has many trailors outside but this doesn't mean that their education is a factor. All Stedwick Students learn at their pace and have fun during class. Their music and art programs, before, during and after, are incredible. Also, the after school care provides them with a place to relax. Their art and music teachers are fabulous and the math department and english departments really expand their worlds and make them more creative and open-minded.I loved being apart of such a great school.
