I love greensboro Elementary School . It has an awesome staff of teachers and professionals and it is a very close family feeling there. You can see and feel the dedication there. I volunteered for this school many times over 400 hr in one year because it was such a great place to be and I loved working with the staff and children!

My son has attended GES since kindergarden. He has had wonderful teachers. I keep frequent, open communication with his teacher by e-mail, sending notes, seeing her after school or during her free time. PE encourages running by having the 'Five Mile Club'. He has intervention which is computer lab, or extra reading or math. He really benefited from the 'Soar to Success' reading intervention program. The PTA is great! Wish I had more time to help them. Mr.Stofa(Principal) and Ms.Ellsie(VP) are wonderful. Whenever I have any concerns I call Ms.Ellsie. They have a Nurse Practiioner there 2times/wk who can prescribe meds, and take strep tests. They have a dentist who comes to see the children too! They have 'Positive Referals' given out by Ms.Ellsie and the teachers to students who demonstrate good character (kind, trustworthy, honesty). They encourage reading through the Principals Reading Club. GES is a great place to be!

I have also had a very rewarding experience so far with Greensboro. The teachers and staff are wonderful. I have a 4th Grader who is also on the challenging side (ADHD) and the councelers and staff have been so supportive and really pull together to work with my child and I as a team. Him and i are both very Happy with the staff and his overall learning experience. I have a Kindergarten child this year as well and look forward to this new jorney with him as well.

So far my overview of Greensboro has been very positive and look forward to another year there with my son. The teachers there seem to be a little more 'pro-active' when it comes to the children who attend. My son, being very challenging to deal with had a wonderful experience there. Though, he has a hard time coping with certain situations, the teachers there and principal have come out on top with the way they handle it. We've only been attending for one year but so far the difference here compared to another school he had attended has by far been outstanding!
