Paramount is the best elementary school in our area! Great faculty and students. I've had a child in attendance since 1999 ( son in 4th grade, daughter is now in 10th.) They love/d their school!

Paramount is a wonderful school. We moved here at the start of the school year and had enrolled in a private school initially. Many families in our neighborhood have children enrolled at Paramount and encouraged us to enroll ours. Administration is active and organized. They provide many special programs including attendance incentives and academic incentives. The teachers are professional and caring. Parental involvement is encouraged and thus many parents volunteer and are so happy to be a part of their children's days. The healthroom is manned by a caring professional who never hesitates to alert a parent about her or his child. My husband and I have only good things to say about this wonderful school.

Paramount elementary is a beautiful school. It has well-organized teachers and classrooms. Administration and staff are helpful and friendly. The music program is interactive and has had a positive influence on my children. Music therapy services are available for children with disabilities upon request.

Our experience at Paramount was nothing short of wonderful. My daughter's educational experience was top-notch. The teaching staff is so compassionate and dedicated to the excellence of each and every student in their charge.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
