Meadowvale Elementary has my highest recommendation for any child in Harford County, let alone the state of Maryland. The professionalism of our administration, office staff, teachers, and specialists is top notch. I have had two children at Meadowvale for the past 6 years, and have been an actively involved classroom volunteer and PTA member. The administration and office staff are very open to addressing concerns and have always handled issues in a professional manner. There are numerous ways to get involved as a parent and the classrooms are always open to visit. I couldn't have asked for a better educational experience for my children!

Meadowvale Elementary is not the best school. My daughter has attended the school for three years now and all I can say is that there is a lot of prejudices that I see towards me when I enter the office. The secretaries make me wait while they hold long conversations with other parents pertaining to non school topics. I barely see the principal as a matter of fact I've only seen the principal three times since my daughter has attended. I voulantary at the school and the teachers look at me in a particular manner. Academically, when it comes to my daughter's math homework we're having a hard time because Harford County has decided to not teach her the traditional math but to teach her from a book called 'Everyday Math' which by the way she is not getting. There's no consistency nor is there any continunity.

Meadowvale Elementary could pass more for a high-end private school vice a public school. The staff is awesome: approachable, helpful, pleasant and professional in all matters. I could visit any of my child's schedule classes without an appointment. This was most helpful for me in that I could observe what is been taught and my child's level of participation and interaction. The programs that my child was involved with helped her in meeting the MD Ed Board standards. The schools facilitated the YMCA before and after program, which for me was a God send. I enjoyed the school just as much as my child did.

My son has been in Meadowvale for three years now. I'm very happy with the school. The teachers are great with the children. They give them a hug when they need one or just want one. They talk to them not at them. We have programs that will help children with there reading and writing skills. It is a great school.
