I think this is a great school! When I was going there I thought it was dreadful and boring but when I went to another school (the school im currently in) I realized how much I already knew ahead of time and why the teachers were being strict and giving us boat loads of homework. I really miss Holy Family. After all, I have been going there ALL my life. Pre-K-5th. I am in 6th grade now. I really want to go back for 7th and 8th.

I attended Holy Family from Kindergarden - 8th grade. I didn't appreciate the school at the time but now I am grateful to the teachers and my parents for sending me there. During my tenure I couldn't stand having to wear uniforms, I felt like the school was out of date, stern and expected way to much out of the students. It wasn't until I visited the surrounding high schools and found that even as a struggling student in Holy Family, I was leaps and bounds ahead educationally from my public school counterparts. Holy Family prepared me for life. I made it through high school, college and graduate school and currently am fairly successful. Holy Family taught me life lessons and the people that I have met during my tenure at HF are the most positive, successful people that I have ever met in my life.

I rate Holy family School ver highly. When we could not afford the school fees, Mrs Hawkins still took us in and 3 of my kids where accomodated without paying school fees. My 2 year old at the time was accepted into the school so that I could work. It has made a big difference in her life. To all the places we have moved to since then her teachers have always commented on how organized, respectful and deligent she is and this is because she had the right foundation. Today, we have found our feet because of the opportunity the school gave us to do so and we will continue to contribute to the school with the hope that other kids can be given an opportunity. My kids were taught love with a firm descipline. I am happy that the school still continues in its catholic tradition of descipline.

This is an excellent school. Some parents expect the school to do what they should be doing with their kids at home. The principal truely cares about these children and their futures. She is stern but loving. Some parents want to complain about what the school and teachers are not doing but you and your child will get out what you and your chilld put into their education. My daughter has been a student here since the First grade and she is now in the 7th and my son is in his second year in PreK-4. The staff are professional and curteous and if a teacher is not right the Principal will take care of the issue. I even tried to put my kids in a school closer to my home for convience but after 3 months I put them back into Holy Family. Because its not about convience.

I am a recent holy family alumni and I was very impressed with the acedemics. However, the teacher to student respect could use quite a bit of tuning up.The critism turned to insults very often, like saying we will met very many people that can talk rings around us and would be the laughing stalk of high school(major beatdown of self-esteem.) They were extremely money hungy and were into the game of manipulation. I thought community service was service in the community, but it's really having you do what the teachers don't feel like most of the time and that's the only thing that counts. The teachers sometimes has to let us learn from experience than a shaking finger. The students had to respect out of fear of authority and not of love.

I was very excited about Holy Family, but was disapointed as the year went on. My child is in PK4 and she has learned very little. They are suppose to have homework on Tue & Thurs., typically homework is coloring. I was expecting more writing and counting. To me this is just daycare and not school. I can say that the teachers are caring.

I was very exicted when my daughter joined this school, the principal convinced my that they would work with my child, because she had reading difficulties, well that was a joke she went through 2nd grade w/flying colors, we were happy, come third grade, her teacher said she should have failed 2nd grade, because she or anybody else fromthe 2nd grade was not ready to read. Their teachers are not certified, they are mostly appointed by the principal, being God lead, the staff is rude, the principal is always hyper, and too much yelling at the kid, overall I was not impressed w/this school, Iam desperately seeking another school, the classroom size is too large my child has 34 kids in her class w/1 teacher, and sometimes an aide. Art has not been implemented yet, and music, is just learning a song, to encourage your child to come to Sunday mass.
