I am a parent that has moved a lot so my kids have gone to many different schools. This is more then the worst school that my kids have ever went to. The school is very unorganized, they don't keep the parents informed, there is a strong feel of lack of care for education among the staff it seems as if they are only working in this school for a paycheck. There has been many of times that I have seen teachers yelling at kids. Some to the point of the child crying. I think that this school could us a new staff that truly care about the children education and teachers that make learning fun. It is sad that this is what you get when you don't have money to seen your child to privet school You can't send them to schools out of your zone so in a way you have to put up with it sad but true..

William Paca is the best school in the county. One of my daughters started in pre k over 10years ago and now is about to go to high school she has been on the honor roll since 1st grade. The teachers started her on the path to education. Now she has been accepted to the Science and tech program at Charles Herbert High School. My youngest daughter just started pre-k this year with the same attitude and the teachers are still as professional and caring in wanting kids to suceed in school she is on the same path. Dorthy Clowers is an excellent principal and has the children's best interest in heart. She is a decated principal who believes education is the key to success. Thank You, DeniseHhiggs

I had the displeasure of attending this horrible school. Not only is it extremely unorganized but the office staff is rude, and unhelpful and act as if doing there job is a chore. As previously stated if you can AVOID sending your kids here.

I do not like the lack of outreach and communication by my childrens teachers here. They also are cutting the before/aftercare program for SY08-09. They will not be attending next year.

My child transfered there in 2006. Before the transfer he was on track with his overall academic growth but since he started there his main concern was his saftety, he didnt learn anything. Just terrible.. I thank God that he wont be returning there this year because the school system sent letters to parents giving the option to get ouu kids out because that school is in academic trouble!

Last year I believe 4th grade had a great year. My son had Ms Bates and Ms Newsome and they were great they really stress the learning process and was not like I have mine and its time for you to get yours. They really cared about the students. I am awaiting to see how this year goes and looking for postive results. The afterschool program I believe is great and it helped my third grader last year also. I believe that is a great benefit that the school has.

Fourth Grade teachers were very involved with assisting with my son having a successful school year. Children should not be marked tardy/absent due to school bus unpredictable schedules and drivers. School needs more P.E. time and sport and other extra-curricular activities to form more of a community relationship with the parents and attending students. And implement a TAG program that I thought was already in place when I chose this school over Lake Arbor because of commute distance.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
