I went to this school for 5 years and loved it! It was an amazing school, unfortunately the county was determined to close it down, and in the end, they did. I made friends for life there! And I learned a lot! I was in the TAG program, and we had great teachers! It's too bad it closed, because I would certainly recommend it to anyone else with grade school-aged children.

I am impressed with the variety of educational offerings at this school. My 4th grade child is being exposed to 4 different foreign languages. The principal is committed and appears to be respected by the faculty and staff. My child's teachers do not feel it is a burden to have parental involvement. I am very pleased and my child enjoys going to school.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland.
