If you DON'T want your children to thrive and have a thirst for learning, send them here!!! They'll also pick up just about every bad habit you can think of. I was curious as to how this school had a five star rating and I see that they are from 2009. Maybe the school has changed drastically since then or maybe these parents haven't had the opportunity to see great schools. Either way Dodge Park can definitely do better. They can start with getting better teachers and retaining them. It seems as if all the good teachers (who really have a love for teaching) leave. Now the kids are stuck with drill instructors. Elementary school isn't supposed to be so serious, learning can be fun.

Dodge Park Elementary School is great!!! The principal, Mrs. White is great with the staff, parents and the students. Ms. White cares and loves everyone that comes thru the door of Dodge Park. The staff is there to help each and everyone that goes to the school. If anyone has and issue Dodge Park has support groups that will help you. A phone call is made to each parent every Sunday evening to keep you up to date on the activities going on at the school for the up coming week. And wishs everyone to have a bless and safe week. AWESOME!! My daughter loves this school. Thanks for everything DODGE PARK ELEMENTARY!!!!!!!! Keep up the great wok!!!!!!

The School is great, and I believe it comes from the top because Mrs White is a excellent principle and she motivates everyone else to want to excel. More parent participation is needed to make the school even better. The school system can't do it alone.

Academic programs are excellent. The curriculum challenges the students.

Dodge Park Elementary School has, in my opinion, made tremendous strides in its educational environment with the addition of Mrs. White and her dedicated staff. It is evident in the raising of scores for the school's curriculum.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
