Wolfsville is a gem. It is small and very community oriented. Parent involvement is greater than what you find at larger schools. Children really are given the opportunity to excel and develop, without getting lost in the crowd. If you happen to live in the Wolfsville Elementary school district, you and your children are truly blessed.

Physical building is nice & updated in the 90's. Full size gym, library & computer room. Very roomy fields. Memorial garden out front. Rural, safe community. Turnover rate is almost nil. Our daughter is in kindergarten; couldn't read before starting and is now reading at a second grade level. Teacher keeps us posted via email.

Wonderful school. A true sense of family and community in this school. Wonderful parent involvement. Teachers, staff and principal very involved by promoting character counts, high expectancy of achievment and welcoming parent volunteers.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Maryland used the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in reading and math, and grades 5 and 8 in science. The MSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Maryland. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
