I am very pleased with this school. The administrative staff always addresses my concerns quickly. The 6th grade teachers are very positive towards the children with the exception of [a few].

This school is really trying hard to improve. The teachers are, for the most part, very, very good. The only thing this school needs to do is provide an ability based education, not group all students together. Children learn at different speeds and levels. Please don't slow my child down because another is not grasping the concept. That practice would never work in the real world, why do we get our children used to it in school? The office staff is very helpful and pleasant. There are a lot of clubs to join but no athletics. It would be nice to have middle school sports since other schools in our area have them. The building is older but is kept in good shape. Tile on the gym floor is a safety hazard, not sure why that was done. Overall, a very nice, local school with good people.

I have a child who attends PMS--my concern is that you can always receive a phone call for negatives but never for positive. I had a child who was 2 points from an A but I never received a phone call asking for help. As a parent, education is a very high priority for my child. Education comes first, maybe a phone call asking for a little push or extra credit could have made a great difference. Positive re-enforcement is great and always welcomed.

I think that Pocomoke Middle need better office help. This year have been a very bad year for my kids at this school. If I'm still living here next year I would like to see Mr. Perry doing a better job. Also the 6-8 gade teacher doing a better job teaching than yhis year.
