This school is so amazing and fun. No matter what program you are in, you will meet tons of fun and interesting people that you love to be around. ALL the programs work equaly hard and deserve praise. It's worht the 30 minute bus ride. :)

The parents get a lot of credit for support of this fantastic high school. Also, to their credit, the politicians in Rockville listened. PHS size and variety of atheletic, academic, and performing arts programs allows students meaningful participation in virtually any interest they may have or seek. The 2010 senior class of 270 students had over $17 million in merit scholarship offers. That is a stunning average of $63,000 per year per student. ACT's above 30 and SAT's above 2100 are common among the magnet students.

I believe that this high school is on its way to greatness, almost comparable to blair. Though, I must say, the global program is very overrated.

GREAT community and learning environment. I have met some of the most dedicated teachers here and hope attending. I am in the SMCS (Science, Math, Computer Science) magnet program, and PHS will set me well on the path to an excellent career in science, engineering, or mathematics.

Outstanding teachers and course offerings. New to this year is an Engineering program, coupled with the Global Ecology program, has this school dedicated to enhanced instruction. Students for the most part are friendly and very little trouble, if any, exist. Community is involved in assisting the school.

Wonderful school. The teachers and staff are focused solely of the children. The Global Ecology Studies Program is top flight. The course content and staff members participating are the best.

Very friendly and welcoming place. Because of the small size, there are sports and activities for every interested student. Teachers are on a friendly basis with most students and everyone knows everyone else, hence less trouble overall. Excellent Global Ecology program.

While this school does have a good enviroment, it needs to be renovated. Non-white students often have a hard time adjusting and some even go as far as to leave the school.

Excellent school with a small community atmosphere. Students not just a number there, every teacher knows and cares about each student. Community very involved in and around school as well as parents. People care very much there.
